Gaudium et Spes and the Cultural Paradigm of the 21st Century
The article first presents the cultural paradigm discussed in the Pastoral Constitution Gaudium et Spes. Then it deals with important cultural paradigm changes within the 50 years since the end of the Council, always with respect to the relationship between “Church” and “world”. Finally, the text focuses on the cultural paradigm of the 21st century and the contribution of the Church and theology to the structure of society based on human dignity.
